Q. Hi, does anyone know the process called "Almac mechanical plating"? Is it a mechanical plating process with Aluminum? Is there any substitute process for it? I saw such a process on the engineering drawings but I didn't think that I can find a supplier to apply such a process in my country. Please provide me your comments. Thanks.Charles Chan
A. Hi, Charles
Almac is a brand name for a proprietary mechanical plating of a mix of zinc and aluminum. It was a Macdermid product a while ago, but I am not sure whether they have spun it off. Please contact them about it. Good luck.
