Hard chrome is peeling

We are associated in supply of turnkey chrome plating system for a large piston ring manufacturer in India. We are presently facing problems in hard chrome plating SGiron (spherodically oriented graphite iron)rings. Presently we are using a sulfuric acid etch and plating the componets in a caatalytic chrome bath of 250 gms per lt. Presently there is a peeloff of the plating. Can some one help in reducing the peel off by giving a proper process advice.

Sounds like you are not cleaning the part surface well enough, or you are not giving the parts enough reverse current etch before the plating process.
