Building a lab scale electrocoagulation unit

+++

Hello readers,

I am involved in a course of study (BY THESIS)that involves extracting copper, chromium and arsenic from leach liquid resulting from closed loop leaching of wood that has been treated with copper, chrome arsenic wood preservative.

Early trials with a commercial organization indicate that electro-coagulation might be effective in doing the job. My question is.... is it possible for me to build a lab scale EC unit for testing the various parameters associated with this particular extraction. I have thought of modifying an old salt water pool chlorinator ... is this possible??

Thanks,
