How do you refinish brushed stainless steel?
I have a stainless steel watch band that has links that have a brushed look and some that are polished? I used a mild polish on it to remove scratches. It also removed some of the brushed look. How do you achieve that brushed look?
- Enterprise, Alabama
The brushed effect is usually obtained in the factory with one quick "scritch" with sandpaper on a belt sander. Whether you will make it worse or better, though, I can't say -- especially if you have no spare links to experiment on.
