Magnetic Shielding Coatings
--
I am looking for a spray-on coating for plastics (ABS) that will
effectively shield low frequency (60-1200 Hz) magnetic fields. Field
strength reduction desired is about 25dB.

Acheson Colloids and Spraylat both make EMI/RFI coatings that
would be suitable. We've had good results with the Acheson products
in particular, but use both.

Need Magnetic Shielding Coating I am looking for a spray-on
coating for plastics (ABS) that will effectively shield low frequency
(50 Hz) magnetic fields. Field strength reduction desired is about
0.5G.

We are a skirting duct (electrical raceway) manufacturer and we
are searching for information regarding the use of polymer (plastic)
ducts which house adjacent cable runs of both 240 volt power and Cat5
data cable. There is not enough evidence to suggest UTP cannot be
used with high speed data transmission. Perhaps a magnetic shielding
coating will do the job? Does anyone else have results of any
research?

I'm looking for a coating that can be applied to aluminum. The
more magnetic shielding the better!
