Firearm coating [Oregon]

I am looking for a coating to use on the metal parts of firearms. The coating needs to be of a dull finish, fairly thin build-up, and weather resistant. Powder coating works well, but is generally too thick.

Have you thought about hard coat anodizing. the color is dull gray or black it will remind you of Teflon look but as smooth as a anodized finish.
