Hello,

I am involved in design components for my company. According to the latest directives we need to replace Cr6+ from our components, so we have to find the best alternative to meet our needs. Please send me Cr6+ alternatives current available with some additional information such: corrosion resistance(white rust, red rust), cost, colors available and potential, adhesion, frictional characteristics, torque tension, susceptibility to hydrogen embrittlement, sealants used(if is the case) Thank you for your time and consideration.

My suggestion is to look into using thermal spray coating, particularly HVOF applied tungsten carbide. Fatigue debit, corrosion, wear characteristics are all superior to chrome.
