Bench top Conversion Coating and Painting

I would like to put an aluminum conversion coating station in a small machining cell. What are my options? Does anyone sell small premixed Alodine packs or small tanks that have little or less environmental impact? Do you need to etch the part first or can you just hot water wash? Also is there any bench top painting system that uses water based paints? Do you know of anyone who does this and if they might be available for tours?

Thanks,

You need to soak clean, rinse, etch, rinse, desmut, rinse, and then conversion coat and rinse the parts--so it's a minimum of 8 steps and single rinses are not really enough. Any plating industry supplier can build a benchtop unit for you; some like Technic have prepackaged benchtop process lines.
