Diamond electro plating on gear

Dear sir,

We are working on making diamond dressing gear (ddg) for gear teeth honing .ddg is a ground gear with electro plated diamond normally d-126 .The problem we are facing is that after plating there is an additional growth of plating in tip and sides which is not acceptable. The extra growth is about 50 microns.

Please help,

Regards,

Hi,

If thickness is your only problem then the solution could be electroless plating with diamonds. Surface Technology is the proprietary.
