Can I use a cast-iron/ baked enamel bathtub for saltwater fish? 

 

Am considering using an old cast-iron & baked enamel bathtub for marine fishes. Does anyone have any information about how to clean/prepare the tub and if there are any chemicals that will leach out from the finish and affect my fish?

You might be better off asking your question at a site for aquarium hobbiests because practical experience is a better guide than guesses based on very general theories, but I don't think I would expect serious leaching or corrosion.
