Optical properties of surfaces with Alodine treatment 

I'm a thermal design engineer and I'm looking for the total hemispherical emittance and solar absorbance obtain with Alodine treatments on aluminium surfaces. I'm trying to find out something about the degradation of these optical properties.

Mercedes, you might contact someone at NASA for this information. I believe that the Submillimeter Wave Astronomical Satellite primary was polished aluminum treated with an Alodine finish. NASA may have some detailed information. http://sunland.gsfc.nasa.gov/smex/swas/index.html I'm sure that they were concerned with the properties you have mentioned.
