Cutting Shapes thru Aluminum 

I would like to find something that will enable me to cut intricate designs right thru thin sheets of aluminum. Is there a rotary tool or some kind of small table where I can place a 8"X10" thin sheet of Aluminum to cut custom designs right thru. I want to shoot light right thru it, so it needs to cut all the way thru. Please give me any suggestion on how to go about this project.
