Coloration
When activating the Chromium, have you found it to take on a
"reddish" color and then re-oxidize back to it's normal
silverish/blackish coloration when exposed to air?

What chemical solution/process are you using for activating
chromium, and why are you activating a chromium surface? I remember
getting a dark color when stripping chromium from nickel, but I never
tried to activate the chrome.
