Compatibility of types of screws and nails (s/s vs. galvanized etc)

I am renailing a wooden vessel in brackish water of the Chesapeake Bay. What type of nail or screw is compatable with galvanized fasteners?

I know nothing of wood boats, but I do know zinc and saltwater, and I would be surprised if a galvanized nail or fastener lasted long. Why not stainless steel throughout?
