In search of M-nitrobenzene sulfonic acid

---

RFQ--> I need to find a supplier(s) who sells M-nitrobenzene sulfonic acid...used in stripping nickel from steel. I have talked to one of my usual chemical suppliers and he was unfamiliar with it. Is it possible that it might have a different trade name?

Thanks.

Meta nitro benzoic acid (MNBA) is available as the active component in some of the proprietary strippers on the market. There are a couple of similar compounds (nitro benzoic acids) used. Some show up in alkaline strippers for electroless nickel, some in gold strippers, etc. Ask your favorite vendor.

We buy m-Nitro from "Crown Metro". It is the material you are looking for, and they sell it in 200# drums. Happy stripping!
