- I was looking for armoloy forever. My father has a browning highpower pistol that is finished in Armoloy, and is exquisite to say the least i would like to know what shops do this for firearms as he bought the pistol already finished and could not tell me were to look. B Cobb
Hi, folks. My understanding is that Armoloy is a trademarked name for thin dense chromium plating. Several shops that plate firearms are listed in our Jobshops directory, as well as several advertisers who offer proprietary high performance chrome platings like the one being discussed --including U.S. Chrome of New York. This website provides a place for metal finishers to share camaraderie and exchange technical tips. It is possible only through the support of our advertisers, and we can't ask them to bear the costs of maintaining detailed contact info for their competitors. Sorry! Regards,
+ Hello, Yes, Armoloy is applied to weapons for wear, lubricity and corrosion protection. It would have to be disassembled though. Regards, Dan G
