Seeking general info on chrome plating and auto restoration

-----

I am looking for information on the process of chrome plating. Also, do you know of any listservs for people interested in antique auto restoration?

Marlene Ware

I suppose other things are complex too, Marlene, but chrome plating is not something you can learn in a day or two -- but we do have an intro to chrome plating on line here that will get you started, and that may be as deep as you want to go for now. Assuming your interest is just in getting chrome plating onto things, the thing to probably do is to look up plating in the yellow pages, the automobile restoration magazines, or the on-line directory of finishing shops here, and have the items plated by a job shop.

But if your interest in chrome plating is abiding, and you want to do it yourself, you can review relevant texts on-line here in our must have booklist. Good luck!
