Finishing Technology is an engineering firm, headed by Ted Mooney, P.E., restricting its practice to the plating and metal finishing industry
WHAT WE DO
We solve finishing problems, counsel management on finishing-related issues, and design plating plants & production equipment and their pollution control systems.
We inspect, appraise, and negotiate for required equipment. We provide supervision services and conduct training courses. We offer expert testimony. Where drawings & specs are required, we can provide the complete details. We lead our client companies toward management approaches and physical facilities suited to the next decade. If it's a problem or an opportunity in a plating or anodizing shop we can help.
WHY WE DO IT
Metal finishing is an industry needs this service. Most people don't have the available hours to quickly make their shop right in these changing times, and to handle the finishing problems that develop as increasing attention is paid to waste minimization, pollution control, improved operator safety, and technological developments. But solving finishing problems, including designing plating shops and equipment and pollution control systems, is what we do: fast, inexpensively, right.
HOW WE DO IT
We offer our services on an hourly/daily basis--giving you the benefit of having experts on your staff without the fixed costs. You can be assured of our complete objectivity because we do not sell anything except our professional services. We do not accept commissions or finders' fees from anyone.
There is no minimum or maximum size to the projects we are involved with. Sometimes a telephone consultation or a single-day visit comprises the entire project; in other cases we havw been involved from initial concept through startup of multi-million dollar installations.
WHY US?
Experience: Ted Mooney offers over 30 years
of experience in troubleshooting
plating problems, in pollution control, and in the design of plating
plants and equipment. He is a registered professional engineer.
Breadth: Should a particular project require highly
specialized process knowledge, we have preestablished relationships
with the most knowledgeable chemists, engineers, and plating
consultants in the industry. Where a multi-disciplinary approach is
required, we can assemble a right-sized project team of seasoned
professionals who have worked with us before.
Permanence: This is not a part-time or temporary business.
Finishing Technology has been in business for more than 20 years, and
will be here tomorrow.
Economy: The charge for our engineering services is
$125/hour, and normal office expenses are included within the rate
structure. Expenses for travel and living are reimbursable at
net.
