Letter 8076 Resistance test for blacken anodizing+ The company I work for is venturing out and starting into a new project blacken anodizing, presently we are doing electro deposited coating for disc drives base and covers. I am in charge of quality in my company and am given the task to find out the test methods required and it's procedures (with required instruments) or something like ed - coating's analytical test on the finish product. He did mention it as wear resistance test. Such as in ed - coating the test required to be done on the finish product is as follows: thickness, tape test (peel of), pencil hardness test, alcohol rub test, gloss test. The instrumemnts used are thickness meter, cross cutter, gloss meter etc. Please furnish me the details or standard procedure of test for anodizing (on it's finish product) using the astm standard. Thanks. Gerald Cornelius Federick
