Teflon coating

I would like to coat a teflon layer of about 50 microns on stainless steel. How can it be done?

YOU CAN DO TEFLON COATING ON STAINLESS STEEL BY THE SAME METHOD WHICH IS USED FOR ALUMINIUM COOKWARE. YOU HAVE TO SHOTBLAST THE SURFACE AND TEFLON COATING IS SPRAYED ON THE SURFACE FOR THE REQUIRED THICKNESS(50 MIC) THEN IT IS KEPT IN OVEN FOR CURING, YOU CAN CONTACT ANY OF THE JOBSHOPS WHICH ARE DOING THE SAME.

Besides the method outlined above, there is the possibility to apply a layer of tiny Teflon particles immersed in a metalic matrix. This method has been gaining good acceptance and reputation because if properly done will outlast the plastic sprayed competitor. Has limitations and is not easy to do. For stainless steel (especially austenitic ones) you would not do the shotblasting for the fear of cold working the metal. I think one would do the acid pickling to clean the surface.
