Monitoring EP Bath

.

I am environmental engineer, who has been brought in to recommend waste minimization measures for an electropolishing operation. The process involves small stainless steel parts, in a bath of methanol and sulfuric acid. The baths are rather small (4 L). They are being discarded, every shift or when parts are rejected. Is there a way to monitor the bath, to find out (before rejects) that the bath is spent? This is a very specialized medical device, so additives to the bath are not generally acceptable. Measurements or probes would be much better. Thanks for any suggestions.
