What is the galvanic effect of contact between a nickel-plated surface an aluminum surface with Alodine chromate conversion? What is the surface chemistry of an aluminum part after chromate conversion?

A conversion coating will improve the corrosion protection between nickel and aluminum, but from what I could find in a quick look is that you will need to know

the alloy of the aluminum

the base metal of the nickel plated fastener

the environment of the couple

how important the integrity of the fastening is to life and limb.Tom
