Using standard copper electrical sockets in
chlorine storage building [Egypt]

hi,
I want to know if there is any special requirements for using
ordinary sockets in a chlorine building containing chlorine vessels.
will it corrode the fixing screws on the faceplate of the
sockets.
Note sockets conducting part is Cu
Please advice.

The chlorine is in sealed containers. The copper is outside the
containers. Therefore the question cannot even arise.

Ed. note: finishing.com assigned the title to this letter, and
Mahmoud did not actually claim that the facility was for storage, but
said "containing chlorine vessels" -- so maybe there is potential
chlorine exposure.

Point taken, Ted. Mahmoud, if indeed there is some chlorine in the
air at times, you could get some guidance by talking with operators
of municipal swimming pools.
