August 25, 2009 Hi, Rajan. Considering the kind of experience your people have, and the type of product you have been supplying, I think you should be investigating 'brush plating' rather than spray metallizing. Regards,

October 5, 2009 Hi, Rajan. Brush plating is sometimes called tampon plating, pen plating, selective plating, or electrochemical metallizing. You use a hand held anode that looks vaguely like an electric soldering iron. You cover the anode with cloth; the cloth both holds plating solution like a sponge, and keeps the anode from touching the work (the cathode). Then you brush the device along the surface of the area you wish to plate (although it requires acquired skill and I am not suggesting that it is drop-dead easy like painting). The system does the same thing as tank plating but generally uses thicker and more concentrated electroplating solutions. The banner ad at the top right hand side of the page links to suppliers. For extensive information about the topic, please see Marv Rubinstein's "Electrochemical Metallizing". Good luck. Regards,
