Masking for Galvanising process

Dear sir ,

we are a leading transformer manufacturer in asia , we are sending transformers for zinc coating .
During this process How to mask unwanted area like threaded portions.
presently we are doing tapping for threaded portions.

Hi, VV. You say you send these out for galvanising, and you also say you send them out for zinc coating. Sorry to be a nitpicker, but it makes a huge difference whether you want to mask these areas against hot dip galvanizing (immersion in molten zinc) or against zinc plating (immersion in an aqueous-based, ambient temperature. But the easiest answer may be that most zinc applicators are capable of masking, and would greatly prefer doing it themselves than to having split responsibility for parts masked by others.
