Etching of mild steel, high carbon steel and bright mild steel

hi, I have three samples that need to be etched in my next week class,which are mild steel, high carbon steel and bright mild steel. I would like to find out which chemical would be suitable for etching thing metals of about 10 mm each and their composition.
