Floor covering for anodizing line
September 17, 2008
I would like to know what is best suitable for the floor covering at anodizing lines that can be resistant to all the acids that might be used at the anodizing lines.
And also by considering the heat on chemical brightening tank and sealing tanks what has to be used as floor coverings on these specific areas too.

Hi, Ismail. Vinylester or epoxy troweled-on coatings should be fine. But the bright-dip tank should be double-walled so there is no chance of a massive spill in the event of a leak at the welds.

We use non-slip 1" thick fiberglass grating for the flooring/grating surrounding the tanks at my plant. The initial investment can be quite steep, but it will last a lifetime, and you don't have to worry about stripping and re-coating when the coating on the metal grating inevitably fails.
