Chloride disposal

We use HCl for surface treatment of Aluminium and of course our waste water contains Chloride. I'd like to know your opinion about the best way to recover or elimnate this anion, being it eliminated by precipitation only by some dangerous or costly heavy metals. Our law allows up to 1200 mg/litre of Chloride. Thank you
