Letter 5051

Post treatment for Silver Plating 

.

Can anyone shed light on the reasons for the post-plate heat treatment of 935 degrees F. for silver plate as specified in AMS 2410H? This temperature seems much too high to serve only for hydrogen embrittlement relief.
