How to protect bearings and other sensitive surfaces from the effects of wet sand blasting

June 22, 2008

I recently bought a 4000 PSI power washer with a sand blast attachment that I want to use to take paint and rust scale off of my mower deck, tractor, boat and other implements. I do not want to have to completely disassemble the equipment to clean it. How do I protect bearings and other surfaces that are prone to damage should sand get into them?
