Removal of carbon from molds for glass bottles [India]

Can any body suggest which cleaning chemical can be used for cleaning of moulds used for making Glass Bottles? There is heavy deposit of carbon to be cleaned. Presently it is cleaned by shot blasting & we want to use ultrasonic cleaning.
