Impact of chlorine on different metals [India]

I want to understand what different reactions or results occure when chlorine is used in cooling water sytems at 0.5 ppm for restricting biological growth. as my cooling tower is FRP, Fills are made of PVC, Piping and PUMPS are MS, and heat exchangers are SS.
