How to take sharp edges off copper

March 5, 2008

I am a jewelry designer. I have some copper hand cut crosses that have sharp edges and corners. I have tried a Dremel [linked by editor to product info at Amazon], band sander, rotary sander/polisher. The problem is that when I sand them to make edges smooth - it actually makes a sharper edge. What about a rock tumbler or a sand blaster. The copper is hammered. The sizes of the crosses are roughly 2-3". Help please.
