+++++++ We are interested in finding anyone who knows how to achieve distressed metal, or patina, look for steel, brass, or copper. This would be for brake metal application. Chris Prizzi
June 21, 2008 Hi, Chris. thanks for visiting finishing.com! I assume you don't mean parts for automotive brakes, but rather sheet metal that has been or will be bent on a sheet metal break? Please give some idea whether you are a homeowner with one piece you're trying to get done or a factory seeking a vendor for ongoing business. If you're a homeowner/hobbyist, you can buy patina in a bottle and 'paint' it on to the metal you wish to patina if you can't find a jobshop interested in one piece. For a deeper insight into the subject see if you can get access to "Colouring, Bronzing & Patination of Metals [link is to product info at Amazon]". Good luck! Regards, |
