Removing Everlube 620 to enable replating
[England]
November 13, 2007
I am a Production Engineer for a company in the connector
industry,
We have an issue with an assembled connector, where part of it needs
to be replated due to poor plating, disassembly to isolate the part
is not an issue but the part is threaded and it is on the thread that
the everlube 620 has been applied and cured.
At present I can find no method of removing the 620, to enable us to
strip and replate the part in question.

My company is the authorised distributor for Everlube in the
UK.
You can find Everlube's own stripping recommendations on their
website under resources - FAQs - product application.
A good aerospace approved paint remover can be efficient we would
recommend Comorcap B10 or Socostrip from our won range. Ultrasonic
cleaning with NMP may be effective.
