Which metals anodize into colours

+++++++

I have a project in mind and I would like a bit more information. I want to build a sword and have the blade and hilt coloured. I know Titanium can be anodized to many colours, and that aluminum can be anodized to have dye applied to it, but I wanted to know if there were any other metals such as titanium.

Thanks,

In theory you can apply interference coloring to stainless steel, much like titanium, Nicolas. But unlike titanium, the coloring of which is common knowledge, most suppliers still hold the coloring of stainless as proprietary so the info is not quite as easy to come by. Good luck.
