Interferences in Diphenylcarbazide as
Cr+6 indicator [India]
May 8, 2007
Respected Sir,
I am doing one Project in IIT, Mumbai.
I am doing project on Chromium removal from pond water/waste water by
using micro-organisms, for this i had to find a method of detecting
chromium presence in that water, i found that diphenylcarbazide binds
to chromium [VI] which i am looking for. I wanted to know that this
reagent binds only to Cr[VI] or there are some interfering substances
like vanadium etc???
Thank you,
Yours Faithfully
