Seeking color anodizing of 3 small carburetors [Nebraska]

I am an auto customizer-restorer who is looking for someone to anodize 3 2 barrel carbs for a 440 engine. I also will have needs in the future for more anodizing and chrome work. I have been warned by a mechanic that anodizing the carbs is not a good idea, is this true?
