Silver nitrate solutions or formulations [UK]

We are trying to formulate solutions to chrome using silver nitrates and reducer solutions ? does anyone have a solution or formulation

These two-part silvering solutions are often bought as proprietaries rather self-formulated, Dean. An old standard formula included formaldelhyde as a reducing agent, but is not much used now that we believe formaldelhyde to be carcinogenic. I believe certain sugars can function as the reducing agent instead. But the general principle is old and I think you can find something if you search for "Brashear process", "Martin process" or "Mirror silvering".

But you are calling this "chrome", and it actually has nothing to do with chrome and is certainly not acceptable for exterior use. Please flesh out what you are looking for in a little more detail.
