Replacement for MIL-STD-105E [Ohio]

November 14, 2006

If the MIL Standard is being replaced, phased out, discontinued, where can someon aquire the replacement. I have downloaded MIL-STD-105E As well as 414, if these are no longer supported documents then I need to get latest and greatest. Also with the phasing out of the standard will it affect TS 16949 [link is to info about spec at TechStreet]? My company is heading towards TS 16949 and if I can put my 2 cents in I would like it to be an educated 2 cents.

Thanks,

Well, I don't know what TS16949 is, but Mil-Std-105 had two cancellation notices. The earlier one directed folks to ASQ Z1.4, available at www.asq.org. The second replaced it with Mil-Std-1916, available at ASSIST Quicksearch.

I'd make sure I had a copy of the ASQ document, especially since ANSI has adopted it as a National Standard.
