Advantages of PVD Coating over Electroplating [India]

Hello ,
I want to know what are the advantages of coating tools by Plasma Vacuum Deposition process over coating by Electroplating.

In response to several requests from teachers, we try to not do students' homework assignments for them, K., so please provide some context. It is difficult to answer such a question without context anyway. Certainly some materials can be applied by PVD but not by electroplating (and vice versa). And there is a lowered potential for release of a toxic material to the environment. Good luck.
