Bonding testing of paint

++++++

How can I judge the bond between Paint & Galvanized metal?
I am looking for a procedure of field test of paint bonding. Please let me know if there is any standard test exist or not?

A common test is the cross-hatch, using a knife tip, cut a(small) tic-tac-toe into the material being tested. Press a piece of masking tape onto the test area and then lift it off. Base your results on how much paint is removed with the tape. Generally if a lot of paint is removed it constitutes a failure.
You can buy testing equipment and accompanying ASTMs for anything you want to do, there is a special knife and tape made just for the cross-hatch test(and others). You can find company information for paint test equipment suppliers on internet sites like this one.
