Oil resistant plating
++++++
Dear all
problem: I am receiving machined components from vendor with plating
. so after receiving I need to inspect them for which it needs to get
handled and the plating gets spoiled due to moisture of hands or any
other surface . so please suggest me some resistive plating process
by which the plating does not get spoiled for long time.

The first step is that your employees should only be handling
these parts when wearing appropriate gloves, Rehmath. Believe it. But
you haven't told us what kind of plating you are speaking of or what
kind of parts.

First define what kind of plating is. Meanwhile I am guessing that
you are talking about zinc plated parts. If they are zinc plated
parts, thay are covered by a chromate surface that is spongy at the
moment it leaves the line. The surface gets harder and resistant
after 48 hrs. So you should let the material repose 24 hr (at least)
before handling it.

Mr Rehmath
In case plating you are refering to is zinc plated yellow/white
passivation I suggest you try green chromate passivation you will
find its life better and resisistance to handling better.I tried
similar in cnc turned part for mazda with satisfactory results.
