Sandblasting WC-Co inserts before coating

++++++

We have a discussion whether a providing of sandblasting WC inserts before CVD coating is necessary. We do sanblasting because of a few reasons: splinters of inserts made by pressing, reamining Co phase on surface of inserts, we are not sure about some residual stresess after sintering which sanblasting can partly remove. The main discussion is about if we should provide sanblasting of remaining Co phase on surface of inserts before CVD coating. Do we need to do that? Thank you.
