Browning a sheet of copper to use for a kitchen island
++++++
We recently purchased a hammered,copper,brown patina kitchen sink. We would like to make a kitchen island to somewhat match it. We have access to a sheet of shiny copper plate. We need whatever we use to be food safe. We just need a brown tint on everything. Does anyone know how we can achieve this look?

Try using the search engine on this site - there are a lot of recipies for patina solutions in the archived letters. One method that springs to mind (although it might not be practical in your case) is oiling and baking.
Good luck!
