Finding a refinisher for a brass item

+++++

I have a pair of old casket stands; each is 22" high and 17" wide. They are solid brass tubing (square in cross section) in a 'X' shape. There is another leg that swivels to make a solid stand. Parts of the stands are brass plated; they attract a magnet. The legs do not. I am seeking a party to polish the solid parts and replate the plated parts. I would need a ballpark figure on the cost of this; I had a quote from a Philadelphia antique restorer that ran $500 which is more than I can afford or that the stands would be worth. I live in exteme Northern California and would like to find someone in the Portland area or perhaps the CA bay area. Hope to hear from you.
