Interruption of salt spray test ASTM B117

+++++

Which is the best method to preserve the samples during interruption (ex. temporarily breakdown of the apparatus) of the ASTM B-117 [link is to spec at TechStreet] salt spray test. Is their any document or standard available on this.
This is a very urgent question!

Accelerate the parts to near the speed of light where time dilation will occur and stop the parts corroding until you get the box fixed.

Seriously, I don't see how you can deviate from a standard and still expect to be following that standard. You will need to obtain fresh pieces to test. I'm sure if you explain what happened to your customers they would prefer to provide fresh samples than get false results.
