Principle of Chemical Polishing

+++++

Please share the principle of chemical polishing.The common chemicals used : mixture of conc. H3PO4 / HNO3 / H2SO4 with high temp. of 90 degC.
Can the mixture of diluted H3PO4 and HNO3 with ambient temperature to be used as chemical polishing process ?
Is there any difference in surface finishing for above both process ?

Thanks for sharing the info.

This is the third subject you've asked for help on but you haven't yet taken the time to reply to anyone else's questions. Share and share alike, Mr. Neo :-)

It's not clear what you mean by chemical polishing. I think you mean chemical polishing of aluminum? Or do you mean stainless steel? Please describe your own situation rather than framing your question in such an abstract fashion. Thanks!

Sorry for not specify the material involved. Refer to applied chemical polishing on Al 6061 alloy. Is it the chemical polishing only operated in 90-100 degC condition ?

Closer to 100 degrees than 90 degrees. See letter 30736 for more info.
