Removal of tarnish from brushed nickel [California]

+++++

I have read this page and do not see any specific reference to removing tarnish from brushed nickel. I think they occurred when tilex was sprayed onto the metal. Does anyone think the ketchup/steel wool (might change the "brushed aspect"), or the vinegar/lemon juice + salt would apply to this particular surface.

Thanks,

Aabsolutely do NOT use steel wool by itself or in conjunction with any chemical on nickel. You will see rust spots that are very difficult to get to go away and you probably will destroy the surface.
