How to create a diamond abrasive surface
on a metal strip [Michigan]
+++++
Within the dental field we currently use a small strip of metal
(.0015 thick) with diamonds on it for a final finishing. I would like
to know the process which is used to adhere the diamonds to the
strips. We are currently working on our own design of a finishing
strip and would like to get a knowledge and a source for the diamond
application to our finishing strip. Any help would be helpful..

In this forum you may get some vague ideas about plating with
nickel and adding the particles in a certain moment. But very few
people in the world dominate that specialty to the fine detail and I
doubt any of them will be willing to disclose it for free. R&D
means exactly that: not only search, but research and develop. And it
is more easily said than done.
